Understand
Understanding the real meaning of what the investor really wants and expects becomes the first step toward establishing your financial foundation. This often starts with building trust between the Personal Finance Professional (PFP) and the investor. Once the expectations are set clear, the further pathway becomes much smoother.
Analyse
Once the story of the investor is clear to the Personal Finance Professional (PFP), he can properly analyse the investor’s situation. The PFP also needs to consider the external factors affecting the financial matters of the investors.
Recommend
Based on the risk profile of the investor, the PFP recommends suitable products to the investor. The PFP needs to take into consideration the risk appetite and risk tolerance of the investor. Accordingly, he recommends the proper mix of the asset classes to perfectly balance the investment portfolio.
Execute
If the investor is convinced with the recommendations of the Personal Finance Professional (PFP), execution of the recommendations is also a very important stage. Taking the actions as guided by the PFP will help in streamlining the investment journey.
Monitor
The actionable tasks are set in the process, they need to be monitored for a period of around 2-3 months for a smooth journey. If any glitches are observed during this period, it becomes the best time to correct the mistakes and be right back on the track.
Coach
Coaching is the last and the most important part of any financial planning exercise. Coaching helps the investor understand and acknowledge the behavioural biases that may exist and helps to face them in a smarter way. Coaching in the initial few days helps the investor understand the market psychology and the correct way to remain calm and stay focused on the financial goals during the ups and downs of the market cycles.
